Event Overview

APEX EXPO is a leading event organized by the Global Electronics Association (formerly IPC). The 2025 edition in March marked the 25th anniversary of the premiere event for the electronics manufacturing industry and saw the participation of 3,541 attendees and 402 exhibiting companies.

The event was held from March 15–20 at the Anaheim Convention Center and brought together engineers, designers, executives, and innovators from 39 countries for a week of technical education, standards development, and product innovation. 

For its 25th anniversary edition, APEX EXPO partnered with Snöball to amplify visibility, mobilize stakeholders, and drive meaningful engagement across the electronics manufacturing community.

How we
did it

We ran an 8-week Attendee Acquisition campaign for the event, starting February 19.

Four reminder campaigns—launched at 8 weeks, 4 weeks, 2 weeks, and 48 hours out—kept the momentum going with consistent nudges.

Snöball mobilized 5,199 advocates across attendee, exhibitor, and speaker groups through targeted emails encouraging them to promote their presence.

 

Equipped participants with easy-to-share personalized promotional materials through 17+ social channels to maximize authentic sharing across diverse networks.

Generated 96 direct ticket conversions that would have otherwise been missed, directly attributable through Snöball's unique and powerful tracking capabilities.

Achieved exceptional advocate engagement with 4,111 attendees, 983 exhibitors, and 105 speakers actively participating in promotion efforts.

Created a seamless sharing experience that drove high adoption rates among typically hard-to-engage exhibitors, enabling effective cross-promotion without requiring complex technical steps.

Delivered real-time analytics to identify top advocates and refine outreach strategies mid-campaign.

Creating a streamlined sharing journey for stronger participation, including from exhibitors—often the hardest group to activate—helping drive sustained pre-event awareness and event sign-ups.

Registration was powered by a direct integration with Maritz (CDS). Once they signed-up, registrants  were prompted to share their participation at the event through Snöball’s peer-to-peer social amplification widget transforming every registrant into an instant advocate. The integration didn’t just spark sharing; it tracked the snowball effect in detail, showing who shared, where, and how far their influence reached.
