Must-Attend Events of 2026

Still Time to Attend: 24 Marketing and Event Industry Shows You Can’t Miss in 2026

Industry publications release their “events to watch” lists every January, months before travel budgets tighten, dates shift, or a show quietly disappears from the calendar. Those lists tend to remain online long after the assumptions behind them have expired.

What matters nine months later is a picture of the calendar as it stands today, heading into the final quarter. Between September and December, the event industry still holds a broad set of gatherings: major global trade shows alongside focused conferences for exhibition organizers, association leaders, event marketers, technology buyers, and business-events professionals.

We reviewed that calendar directly this month, checked each date and venue, and dropped anything that had already fallen off the schedule. What remains is a list of 24 events still set to run before year’s end, each included because it’s where people who build, buy, sell, and market events will actually gather.

A few of these events are massive, filling convention centers for days at a time. Several are intentionally intimate, sized for a narrow, specific audience. All 24 made the list through direct, current verification, checked against real dates and venues.

Snöball’s on-site appearances are marked throughout.

September 2026

1. CEIR Predict 2026

September 10–11 | MGM National Harbor, National Harbor, Maryland

Best for: Exhibitions, market intelligence, strategy, and the future of trade shows

CEIR Predict looks beyond the immediate challenges of running an event and toward the forces likely to shape the exhibitions industry over the coming years.

The event brings together exhibition industry executives to examine economic conditions, business trends, technology, and changing exhibitor and attendee behavior.

Why event professionals should care

Understanding where the exhibition industry is heading is just as important as understanding how to market an individual show.

For exhibition organizers and the companies that serve them, CEIR Predict provides useful context around audience expectations, exhibitor value, and where event budgets may be heading.

2. PCMA Convening EMEA 2026

September 13–15 | Lisbon, Portugal

PCMA’s Convening EMEA brings together business-events leaders and creatives from across the region to explore how the industry is changing.

The event covers the bigger questions surrounding the future of business events, from strategy and leadership to experience design and changing audience expectations.

Why event professionals should care

This is particularly useful for anyone who wants to understand the events industry beyond individual marketing tactics.

The conversations taking place here can provide valuable insight into what organizers, planners, and business-events leaders are actually trying to achieve.

3. MPI theEVENT 2026

September 14–16 | Vancouver, Canada

Best for: Meeting professionals, event planners, suppliers, and Canadian business events

MPI’s theEVENT is a major gathering for meeting and event professionals, bringing together planners, suppliers, and innovators from across the industry.

The 2026 edition heads to Vancouver.

Why event professionals should care

The event brings together professionals who are directly responsible for planning and delivering events, making it a useful opportunity for networking, relationship-building, and understanding what event professionals are prioritizing.

4. Dreamforce 2026

September 15–17 | Moscone Center, San Francisco

Best for: CRM, AI, data, marketing technology, and customer engagement

Dreamforce has grown far beyond its origins as a Salesforce user conference.

It is now one of the year’s largest technology gatherings, with conversations spanning CRM, AI, data, sales, marketing, and customer experience.

Why event professionals should care

Events are increasingly becoming part of a broader customer-data ecosystem.

Questions around capturing attendee data, personalizing experiences, and connecting engagement to commercial outcomes are no longer separate from wider business strategy.

Dreamforce remains one of the better places to see where those conversations are heading.

5. UNBOUND 2026

September 16–18 | Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, Boston

Best for: B2B marketing, demand generation, AI, and audience growth

Formerly known as INBOUND, UNBOUND brings together marketers, sales professionals, and technology leaders around audience growth, customer engagement, AI, and go-to-market strategy.

It is one of the few broader marketing events that remains on this list because of the increasing overlap between event growth and the wider disciplines of demand generation, content, data, and audience acquisition.

Why event professionals should care

Event teams are no longer operating in isolation.

Understanding how other parts of the marketing organization think about audiences, customer journeys, and growth can help event professionals build a stronger case for where events fit within the wider business strategy.

6. Skift Meetings Forum 2026

September 22 | New York City

Best for: Meetings, hospitality, travel, and senior event-industry leaders

Skift’s Meetings coverage sits at the intersection of travel, hospitality, and business events.

That makes its Meetings Forum an interesting gathering for anyone who wants to understand the wider forces influencing how people travel to, choose, and experience professional events.

Why event professionals should care

The events industry does not operate independently from hospitality, travel, and destination strategy.

For organizers and suppliers working internationally, understanding those wider forces can be just as important as understanding the event itself.

7. Trade Show Executive Gold 100 Awards & Summit 2026

September 22–24 | Terranea Resort, Palos Verdes, California

Best for: Trade show organizers, exhibition executives, and industry leadership

The Gold 100 Awards & Summit is one of the more important additions to this year’s list.

Trade Show Executive’s Gold 100 recognizes the largest and most influential trade shows in the United States, while the accompanying summit brings industry leaders together for discussions around the ideas and trends shaping exhibitions.

Why event professionals should care

This is a room full of the people behind some of the industry’s largest and most successful shows.

For exhibition organizers, event suppliers, and technology companies, that makes the Gold 100 considerably more relevant than a broad marketing conference with only an indirect connection to the industry.

8. Destinations International Global Leaders Forum

September 22–24 | Geneva, Switzerland

Best for: Destination organizations, tourism leaders, and senior business-events decision-makers

The Global Leaders Forum brings senior destination leaders together to discuss the issues shaping destination organizations and the wider business-events ecosystem.

9. DMEXCO 2026

September 23–24 | Cologne, Germany

Best for: Digital marketing, advertising technology, martech, and audience acquisition

DMEXCO remains one of Europe’s major digital marketing and technology gatherings.

Why event professionals should care

The methods used to find, engage, and convert event audiences are increasingly shaped by developments in the wider digital marketing ecosystem.

For event businesses operating internationally, DMEXCO offers a useful perspective on where those tools and strategies are heading.

10. Forrester B2B Forum EMEA

September 28–29 | London

Best for: B2B strategy, buyer behavior, revenue, and go-to-market teams

Forrester’s B2B Forum EMEA brings together marketing, sales, product, customer success, and revenue leaders around the changing B2B buying landscape.

It is more analyst-led than many of the large conferences on this list, with a particular focus on strategy and changing buyer behavior.

Why event professionals should care

For B2B event marketers, the question is increasingly about more than registrations.

It is about how events contribute to relationships, buying journeys, pipeline, and revenue.

Forrester’s focus on modern buying behavior and AI makes it one of the stronger broader-marketing additions to this calendar.

October 2026

11. Exhibit Sales Roundtable 2026

October 1 | Arlington, Virginia

The Exhibit Sales Roundtable is one of the most specialized events on this list — and arguably one of the most relevant for anyone responsible for growing exhibitions.

The one-day program brings together executives and professionals responsible for exhibit and sponsorship sales to share tactics, challenges, and ideas around finding prospects and winning customers.

Why event professionals should care

Audience growth is only one side of an event’s commercial model.

For exhibitions, exhibitor and sponsorship revenue remain critical. The Exhibit Sales Roundtable focuses directly on the people responsible for making those commercial relationships work.

For that reason alone, it deserves a place on this calendar.

12. SITE Young Leaders’ Conference

The show brings together buyers and suppliers from across the meetings, events, and incentive-travel industries, alongside destinations, venues, technology companies, and service providers.

Why event professionals should care

For companies selling into the events industry, IMEX is ultimately about access.

It is where planners, buyers, suppliers, and destinations come together to build relationships and do business.

Cvent CONNECT Europe is designed for the people responsible for bringing meetings, events, and experiences to life.

The European edition brings together planners, marketers, and hospitality professionals around event strategy, technology, demand generation, and measurable outcomes.

October 26–28 | Oklahoma City

Best for: Destination organizations, operations, data, technology, and business strategy

The Business Operations Summit brings together the professionals responsible for the operational side of destination organizations.

That includes leaders working across finance, data, technology, HR, and business operations.

17. RevUP Summit 2026

November 3–5 | MGM National Harbor, Maryland

Best for: Association executives, revenue leaders, sponsorship, and business development

Organized by Professionals for Association Revenue, RevUP brings together association executives and revenue producers focused on building stronger business models, improving member relevance, and generating sustainable growth.

Why event professionals should care

This is an especially relevant addition for anyone working with associations.

November 8–11 | Panama City, Panama

The show brings together event professionals, planners, agencies, brands, and technology suppliers to explore the platforms and ideas shaping live, hybrid, and virtual events.

Why event professionals should care

This is not simply a technology show.

It is where event technology meets the people actually using it — including organizers, agencies, corporate event teams, marketers, and technology buyers.

Snöball will be there:
Yes — we’ll be attending Event Tech Live 2026.

20. IAEE Expo! Expo! 2026

IAEE Expo! Expo! is the event for the people who actually plan and run exhibitions and trade shows.

It brings together organizers, suppliers, and industry professionals around the ideas, strategies, and technologies shaping the future of exhibitions.

Why event professionals should care

While many marketing conferences focus on the people promoting events, Expo! Expo! focuses directly on the people building and operating the exhibition industry itself.

For companies working with associations, exhibitions, and trade shows, that makes it one of the most commercially relevant events of the year.

21. IBTM World 2026
