RX debuts RX NOW to deliver smarter attendee and exhibitor experiences at live events

Spotlight: RX has launched RX NOW, a browser-based platform using real-time data and AI to improve attendee and exhibitor experiences at live events. The tech was first unveiled at PGA Show 2026, where it was adopted by more than half of the show’s 34,000+ attendees.

RX debuts RX NOW to deliver smarter attendee and exhibitor experiences at live events

RX has introduced RX NOW, a browser-based platform that uses real-time data and AI to help attendees and exhibitors get more out of live events.

The platform launched at PGA Show 2026, where it was taken up by more than half of the show’s 34,000+ attendees. RX plans to roll it out across its global event portfolio through 2026.

RX NOW runs directly in a mobile browser, requiring no app download. Attendees can search exhibitor listings, use interactive floorplans, receive tailored recommendations, and collect materials digitally from the show floor. Every interaction — QR scans, saved content, and new connections — is logged into a personal event timeline, and users can receive a summary email after the event to help with follow-up.

“By putting real-time discovery and personalised recommendations directly in visitors’ hands, RX NOW is transforming how attendees engage with our events,” said Jamie Harrison, Senior Vice President of Product Development at RX. “We’ve seen significant increases in engagement, with usage of our Colleqt QR technology tripling at PGA Show 2026.”

On the exhibitor side, the platform connects with RX’s broader Business Builder suite, which covers lead capture, promotional tools, and analytics. At PGA Show 2026, leads generated through visitor-facing digital tools doubled year over year.

“RX NOW is helping our exhibitors generate more leads, spark stronger business conversations, and achieve a clearer return on investment,” Harrison added.

Eventprofs celebrate GMID 2026

Meeting professionals worldwide marked Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) on May 6, with events, advocacy initiatives, and digital campaigns spotlighting the economic and social value of business events.

Led by the Events Industry Council under the theme “Business Events and Exhibitions: The Human Catalyst for Global Growth,” this year’s GMID served as a platform for the upcoming 2026 Global Economic Significance of Business Events Study, conducted in partnership with Oxford Economics, which will quantify the industry’s worldwide economic and societal impact.

Meeting Professionals International hosted an eight-hour livestream featuring industry leaders on topics including AI, personalization, attendee expectations, and the future of in-person connection. In New York City, several landmarks lit up in blue, including the Javits Center, One World Trade Center, and SUMMIT One Vanderbilt.

Fairfest Media names Simon Press MD-International to lead international portfolio

Fairfest Media has appointed Simon Press as Managing Director – International, a newly created role following the company’s acquisition of WTE Miami.

Simon brings more than two decades of experience launching and managing large-scale international exhibitions and B2B media brands across Europe and the Middle East. He will lead Fairfest’s international portfolio, driving WTE Miami’s growth as a global travel trade event while bringing international event IPs into India.

Clarion Events North America appoints Wayne Bishop Jr as EVP Energy

Clarion Events North America has appointed Wayne Bishop Jr. as Executive Vice President of Energy.

Wayne brings more than 30 years of senior leadership experience across the electric power and energy sectors, including roles at Danovo Energy Solutions (a Quanta Services company), OMICRON Electronics, and Doble Engineering Company. A Senior Member of IEEE, he has served with the IEEE Power & Energy Society for more than a decade, including as Vice President of Meetings and Conferences (2019–2024).

He will oversee Clarion’s Energy portfolio, including POWERGEN, DTECH, DTECH regional events, and the Factor This media properties, reporting directly to CEO Liz Irving.

“Wayne is a highly respected leader with an exceptional track record of building meaningful industry connections and translating strategy into long-term impact,” Liz said. “We’re excited to welcome him to Clarion as we continue to invest in growth, innovation, and customer value.”
