Hyve Enters Legal Events Market With LegalTechTalk Acquisition

Hyve Group has acquired LegalTechTalk, an event covering legal technology and transformation in Europe, with plans to expand into the U.S., the company announced.

LegalTechTalk brings together senior decision-makers from across the legal sector, including leaders from Google, Airbnb, Revolut, Adidas, DLA Piper and Freshfields, along with technology companies in the industry.

Bradley Collins and Mikkel Jensen founded the event in 2024. Its 2026 edition, held in June, drew:

  • More than 5,500 attendees
  • Representation from over 70 countries
  • 62% of attendees at C-suite or senior decision-maker level
  • More than 450 speakers

Mark Shashoua, CEO of Hyve, commented on the acquisition.

“We’re excited to enter this new SuperVertical through acquiring the market-leading event. What Bradley and Mikkel have built in such a short time is exceptional – LegalTechTalk has become the trusted partner to the sector’s leading companies and this has been achieved through a relentless focus on customer outcomes and community building,” Shashoua said.

Collins and Jensen will continue to lead the business, working with Hyve’s Acquisitions and Best Practice team, led by division president Lisa Milburn.

The acquisition will also support LegalTechTalk’s expansion into the U.S. Hyve’s Global Ventures launch team, led by Katy Fryatt, will support the brand’s first American event, planned for Miami Beach in December 2027.

Collins commented on the U.S. expansion.

“When we launched LegalTechTalk, we always believed the opportunity extended far beyond Europe. Our USA launch is an exciting next step, and Hyve’s proven track record of successfully taking premium event brands into new international markets made them the right partner for us. We’re excited to build on the momentum we’ve created and accelerate LegalTechTalk’s global growth together,” Collins said.

Hyve plans to invest in LegalTechTalk’s growth, including a hosted meetings program and new formats such as TableTalks.

Jensen commented on the partnership.

“We’ve built LegalTechTalk by staying relentlessly focused on delivering value for our customers. Joining Hyve gives us access to proven best practice across event operations and customer experience, alongside opportunities to strengthen our meetings programme and develop new products and services. That allows us to keep improving the experience we deliver while building on the strong foundations already in place,” Jensen said.
