Welcome to the latest edition of Snöcap.
Big news from our own Snöland this week: Snöball has partnered with Visit by GES to integrate peer-to-peer sharing directly into the Visit by GES registration experience, giving event registrants the option to share their participation across more than 17 social channels the moment they register. The integration lets organizers extend their attendee acquisition campaigns and track activity generated through registrant referrals.
Elsewhere, Hyve Group is opening a new office in Miami, its second US location outside New York City, and is hiring for its founding team there. The office is set to open in 2027 and ties into Hyve’s Ascend30 strategy, with roles open now across sales, event leadership and more.

Snöball and Visit by GES Partner to Integrate Peer-to-Peer Sharing Into Event Registration
Snöball and Visit by GES have partnered to integrate Snöball’s peer-to-peer sharing functionality directly into the Visit by GES registration experience.
The integration gives event registrants the option to share their participation across more than 17 social channels immediately after registering. Organizers can then use those shares to extend the reach of their existing attendee acquisition campaigns and track activity generated through registrant referrals.
The partnership brings together Visit by GES’s registration and event management capabilities with Snöball’s peer-to-peer marketing tools, which are designed to encourage attendees, speakers and exhibitors to promote events through their own networks.
Under the integration, Snöball’s sharing functionality is presented as part of the registration journey, giving attendees an opportunity to promote their participation at the point when they have completed their registration.
Rachel Stephan, Founder and CEO of Snöball, said the integration brings peer-to-peer sharing closer to the point of registration.
“Visit by GES powers some of the most respected events in the world, and this integration puts peer-to-peer sharing right at the moment attendees are most excited, the second they register,” she said.
Cristina Achim, Head of Product Management at Visit, said the integration would give organizers another way to extend event reach through their existing audiences.
“Adding Snöball’s peer-to-peer sharing to our registration flow is a natural fit,” she said. “It helps organisers extend their reach through people who know their events and have chosen to attend themselves.”
Hyve Group Opens New US Office in Miami, Announces a Slew of Roles for Founding Team
Hyve Group is opening a new office in Miami, its second location in the United States outside New York City, and is hiring for its founding team there.
“We’re officially expanding outside NYC with a second US office in Miami,” said Zia Daniell Wigder, President, Connected Commerce at Hyve.
The office is set to open in 2027. Zia said Hyve is “no stranger to Miami,” adding the company is “just deepening our ties to the city and the South Florida region with a new office set to open in 2027.”
Hyve owns Shoptalk. Over the past four years, its POSSIBLE event has brought thousands of marketing executives to the Fontainebleau and Eden Roc in Miami Beach, Zia said.
Hyve’s newly acquired LegalTechTalk will hold its first US event in Miami in December 2027, according to Zia.
The Miami office is tied to Hyve’s Ascend30 strategy. “All this is just the latest in a series of announcements related to our Ascend30 strategy that’s set to take us into the next era of events,” Zia said.
Hyve Group said the Miami office will bring new roles. “Hyve has splashed down in Miami,” the company said. “New office. New team. New opportunities.” The company added, “We open officially in 2027, but we’re hiring right now across Sales, Event Leadership and more.”

Thailand’s MICE Market Holds Firm as Conventions Drive 2026 Outlook
Thailand’s business events sector is holding steady in 2026, with conventions its most consistent segment. Exhibitions are on track to grow at least 10% over 2025, already reaching about 49% of last year’s total by June, said Loy Joon How, general manager of Impact Exhibition Management and president of the Thai Exhibition Association. Loy said China remains the top source market.
Cancellations have come in lower than feared, said Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk, president of the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association. “Cancellations have been lower than we anticipated when we consulted hotel and DMC members about two months ago, which came as a welcome surprise,” Prachoom said.
Thanate Kienpotiramard, founder of BIC Event Thailand, said first-half revenue matched last year’s, aided by early-booked conventions, though smaller corporate events have softened on high airfares. “Conventions are planned one to two years ahead, which makes them very difficult to move… If Thailand can host more conventions, that is a positive step because it remains a secure market,” Thanate said.
